R and R Farms has been an integral part of starting the new Pontiac Market located at the Shawville Fairgrounds. With the support of the Pontiac Agricultural Society, we have the use of a wonderful modern building to house our new market. Bigger, brighter and more spacious best describes the market.
Saturday mornings have become a meeting place, for vendors as well as buyers to purchase good local baking, meat, flowers, vegetables and crafts.
Customers can plan their entire meal with us. Fresh salad, vegetables, bread, meats and deserts can all be found at the market.
R and R Farms grows a large assortment of flowers available for early spring sales. The popular wave petunias are one of our specials with many colors available.
We offer 30 to 40 varieties of tomato seedlings for sale. We usually plant 3500 tomato plants in our own garden. Beets, carrots, beans, potatoes, onions, squash, pumpkins, gourds, cauliflower, cucumbers, as well as some herbs are the main crops that we grow. These can all be found at the market within season.
We also sell fresh raspberries at the market or on a pick your own basis at the farm.
Customers are welcomed to come to the farm, purchase fresh produce and see where everything grows. Our operation is usually open 7 days a week. We always say “If we are home, we are open” just like farming.
The Pontiac Market is located at 215 Lang Street Shawville and is open Saturday mornings from 8:30 until 12:30 noon.
